We needed a place to just decompress and relax after our wedding and this was the place. We were really happy. Bryan was responsive and kind, we ended up extending our stay and it was an easy and smooth process. The place is beautiful and peaceful. LOVE all the details! Definitely will come back.
The trädstuga is lovely, welcoming, and cheerful. Large windows reveal natural beauty and are easy to open/close to adjust to weather. The sauna is a delight, the living room/kitchen/bedrooms well arranged. Bryan conveyed info clearly and responded promptly when one issue arose for us. There was little traffic on the road and we delighted in the absence of human sounds and the sense of privacy. A short path goes to a platform with lake access. All in all, this was a delight and we would happily stay there again.
It was our second stay and it was wonderful all over again! We love this property so much it's turning into an annual trip!

The TreeHouse was exactly what we needed. Simple, luxurious and intentional. The Nordic simplicity of the furnishings and decor combined with the peaceful surroundings allowed us to relax and recharge. The sauna was wonderful... and so was the pellet stove as the air cooled. Staying at the TreeHouse was an experience on its own...a look into a different.. and unfussy but polished... culture.
Very pleasant stay. House is incredibly interesting and well appointed. Natural beauty is plentiful in the area. Ferry to NY, day trip to Montreal, exploring the Burlington area, all convenient to the house. Several interesting and easy hikes right out the door… Local friends tell us the tiki bar at the end of the street is worth a visit, although we did not go there…Swedish theme plays out, at every turn.
A stunning, spotless lake escape: Trädstuga was the perfect end-of-summer getaway. The Scandinavian-style cabin is beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and steps from private lake access with an incredible sunset view over the water. The sauna was a wonderful surprise — perfect for slowing down after a day by the lake. We even had deer wander up to the yard one morning. Convenient, gorgeous, and spotless from top to bottom. We'd return in a heartbeat!
This is a beautiful home. It is a short walk to Pelot's Point walking trails and a short drive to the town hub of North Hero. It has everything you need but is uncluttered and so there is space for you to put your things away and have a peaceful, well designed environment. The large windows bring nature right indoors. The home is immaculately clean and everything appears brand new. The bathrooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated. The deck gives you a view of trees and birds and a view of the night sky. We actually saw shooting stars! A short walk on a gravel path brings you down to the lake where you can sit and watch the sunset over the lake. (Chairs are provided in the house.) To get to the water you descend a sturdy metal staircase and then a ladder. The water level was pretty low when we were there. The descent may present a challenge if you have mobility issues. This really is a luxury property. The owner checks in regularly by text / app. I would definitely recommend this property.
Walking into Trådstuga, we were immediately greeted by the warming scent of orange peel, the ultimate welcome to this impeccably clean and beautifully styled cottage. From the cozy indoor fireplace and Scandinavian Dala horse accents to the floor-to-ceiling windows with forest views and the convenience of the covered EV charger out front, every detail made our stay effortless. Watching the sunset over the lake was the perfect finishing touch, and Green Mountain Amenities made the entire experience seamless. We did not want to leave and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I am writing this on the capacious terrace of the cottage, with its magnificent view of both the lushly green property and the lake beyond. We don't want to leave! This is a quiet, peaceful, idyllic spot, as good as it gets in AirBnB-land. The cottage is new and beautiful, with white walls and blond wood floors, tasteful and uncluttered. Every detail is thoughtful, comfortable, and esthetically pleasing, down to the mugs and the laundry hampers. The house is generously outfitted with plenty of towels, beach chairs, coffee, bathroom sundries, etc. (Don't overshop as the refrigerator is an under-counter drawer, but they provide a Yeti for overflow). The path to the lake is a pleasant stroll, and the lakeside setup is more private than any waterfront we've experienced. Bring watershoes; it's a rocky bottom. They provide a high-quality inflatable double kayak (with good paddles and lifejackets) and the kayaking is terrific. No space to say more except we couldn't have been happier.
My husband, my dog and I stayed at Trad Stuga for a month in July 2026. We were delighted with the beautiful and well equipped cottage. It was an easy walk down to the private dock on Lake Champlain. Brian, our host, was quickly responsive to every question and request. He went out of his way to do things for us that were "extra". I went to yoga class 5 times per week with 3 different styles of yoga — all teachers were highly trained and excellent. We enjoyed the farmers markets and friendly neighbors. We attended concerts at the restored barn as well as drinks and music at the marina. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. We are seniors and found the living room furniture to be a little uncomfortable but quite stylish. A few pillows would help. I can imagine children enjoying the sectional sofa. There were many delightful special features such as the sauna, premium TV, Sonos speaker, etc. This house is a great place for a long or short holiday experience.
The GMA rental was incredible. It had everything we could need. The items were well planned out. This Airbnb will be the gold standard to every other place we stay. Beyond a 5 star rating!
Tradstuga is a very clean and bright place to stay with very nice amenities, appliances, and bedding. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay if you like to cook your own meals. We enjoyed the nearby walking trails with our dog, and relaxing inside and out and the local farmer's market. It's a private and quiet place — just what we were looking for for a long weekend getaway. The sauna is a nice addition. We would stay here again.

This place is incredible!! Stayed in the winter and the house is so cozy and well furnished. Loved the style and decorations. The sauna is a great added benefit and I enjoyed it thoroughly. When we had car trouble on our last night, the host was willing to come and help us jump our car (did not need it in the end). Overall, a stunning place with great amenities.
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend winter getaway with another couple. We absolutely loved our stay. The views from the living room were gorgeous — very relaxing having a morning coffee with the Pellet stove going and enjoying the views out to the lake. The sauna was the highlight of the stay — we all enjoyed it. Wish we could have stayed longer! The host was easy to communicate with and very kind. We will be back!

The property was not only as described but better. The home was clean and beautiful. We loved the path leading to the dock and my boyfriend proposed to me there which made it even more magical. Tradstuga was a great stay. We rented it for my mother's 70th birthday staycation, and it didn't disappoint. The location was lovely and next to a cute nature preserve with easy paths for walking. We appreciated the amenities and upscale products provided by the host as well as the very Vermont-Swedish gift bag. The host has done a great job of tying the two cultures together in a place that allows you to unwind and chill.
This is a magical home. Well appointed and with amazing views! We've stayed in the islands several times — this is our new go-to rental. Can't wait to get back! Host was amazing and proactive! Don't hesitate — book it!
My second stay at Trädstuga and like last time it was great. North Hero Island is such a unique and relaxing place and Trädstuga's location is amazing. It's a stylish, well appointed place and a great place to unwind.
We are so grateful and lucky to have stayed at Trädstuga Lake House. The house was gorgeous, with beautiful lake access and a private beach. Everything was pristine and spotless. The kitchen was easy to cook in, and we loved having BBQs and sunset dinners on the back deck. The sauna and porch swings were such a nice touch. Being able to hike 1.5 miles right from the house and swim in the lake made the kids so happy. The host was incredibly quick to respond and always respectful, and the welcome gift bag was such a thoughtful surprise. Nicest Airbnb we've ever stayed at — we were so sad to leave and can't wait to come back!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful home by Lake Champlain. The location is truly special — very private and secluded, yet only about 5–10 minutes from local general stores. What stood out most was the stunning Scandinavian interior design — elegant, modern, and thoughtfully curated. The home feels brand new: clean, bright, and outfitted with high-end appliances, cookware, and dishware. The sauna in the basement was a highlight — hot, clean, and deeply relaxing. I especially loved pairing it with the refreshing outdoor shower. We also spent hours at the property's impressive vertical dock, fishing and casting lines with my kids. This place is a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

This was probably one of the nicest Airbnbs we've stayed in! Even better than the photos. The house and property were stunning, and we enjoyed walking down to the lake to enjoy the sunsets. We really enjoyed our stay at Tradstuga. The house had such a luxurious feel with all of the wonderful amenities provided by the host. The bed was really comfortable and cozy and the climate control in the house was great. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the beautiful scenery and nature all around us. Bryan was very responsive to the minor issues we encountered and communication was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay here again on a future visit to this area.
We stayed at Tradstuga for a holiday weekend (2 adults, 1 toddler). The property is exactly as pictured — clean, new, and beautifully decorated. Bryan, the host, has put a lot of care and attention to making the home feel Swedish, down to decor, plates and mugs, and linens. We appreciated these details and took note of a lot of the homewares to buy for ourselves one day! Guests receive a generous gift bag of local maple syrup, dishtowels, pens, and pancake mix. Bryan's commitment to eco-friendly products is clear. The kitchen was nicely outfitted with tea/coffee, salt, pepper, and seasonings. The beds are extremely comfortable and we all slept well. We spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the view and had a really lovely weekend. Bryan was a wonderful host and it's clear he has put a lot of thought and effort into creating and maintaining the property. We look forward to returning in the future.
